Nexus Q - Google Play

So Google have launched a media player, the Nexus Q (https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_q&feature=nexus7_campaign). It's a smart looking bit of kit but at $299 it's not cheap, even with a 25W amplifier (and does anyone really believe "audiophile" at those prices and in that case?). It will be interesting to see how it compares to the Apple TV, which lacks the amp but has better content (at the moment - I'm sure Google will be adding more content over the next few months) at a third of the price.

Competition - you've gotta love it.

Apple’s already started the process of replacing Google Maps

Integrating maps more deeply into iOS is a great idea. I particularly like the sound of this:
